Assent means we actively seek the individual's willingness to participate whenever possible. We prioritize trust, choice, and dignity while teaching new skills. We work to utilize alternative methods to classic compliance-based therapy, and believe that the individual’s voice should always be heard.

We believe in targeting behaviors that are unsafe or lead to reduced long-term independence. We will never try to change your child’s unique personality or stop behaviors just because they look different. We believe in promoting behaviors that increase access to choices in their home, community, and school while preserving what makes them who they are.
